Uniqlo accelerates UK expansion with new store in Cambridge

The Industry

Uniqlo is continuing its rapid UK growth strategy with the opening of a new Cambridge store, marking another step in the brand’s regional expansion beyond major city centres. The 9,472 sq ft location at Cambridge’s Grand Arcade will become the retailer’s 25th UK store, offering its signature LifeWear range alongside key AW26 products. The move reflects Uniqlo’s continued investment in physical retail and confidence in the UK market, following recent openings in Bristol and Manchester.

The expansion highlights a growing trend among fashion retailers to invest in regional cities as a way to drive growth and build deeper connections with local consumers. Rather than concentrating solely on major urban hubs, brands are expanding into high-potential locations to increase accessibility and strengthen market presence. Uniqlo’s continued UK rollout also reflects sustained consumer demand for quality, versatile wardrobe essentials, reinforcing the appeal of a value-led proposition focused on functionality, longevity and everyday wear.
