Rabanne imagines the most expensive bag in the world with Arthus Bertrand

Journal du Luxe

The house of Rabanne unveiled the "most expensive bag in the world" during its show on Wednesday. An 18-carat gold creation designed with the jeweller Arthus Bertrand.

It took more than 300 hours of work to give birth to this already iconic bag. Designed in collaboration with the French jewellery and medal house Arthus Bertrand, the accessory is a reinterpretation of the famous Rabanne bag with medallions. An exclusive creation composed of 157 Arthus Bertrand Star Shower medals, all in 18-carat gold.

Priced at 250,000 euros, it is designated as "the most expensive bag in the world". It is actually a tribute to the so-called "most expensive dress in the world": a 1968 model created by Paco Rabanne for Françoise Hardy composed of gold and diamond checks.
