Bottega Veneta: the animal kingdom

Journal du Luxe

Led by its artistic director Matthieu Blazy, the fashion house presented its Summer 2025 show this weekend during Milan Fashion Week. An ode to childhood on the catwalks, but also in the ranks.

Last February, the guests of the Bottega Veneta Fall-Winter 2024/2025 show were left on minimalist wooden stools. Inspired by a case of whisky, these re-editions of the Cabanon LC14 model designed by the architect Le Corbusier in the 50s were presented in a charred finish to illustrate the resilience of the being in "a world on fire".

A surge of optimism that can be found in an exaggerated way in the 60 seats designed to accompany the presentation of the new Bottega Veneta collection. This season, the Italian brand has joined forces with its compatriot Zanotta, which specialises in furniture design, to reinvent the "Sacco" leather pouf (1968) in new versions with a bestiary look. In the front row, Julianne Moore sat on an otter, Kendall Jenner on a horse and Jacob Elordi on a rabbit, probably a nod to her first campaign as an official ambassador of the House.
